Protection Tape
Protection tapes, often times referred to as masks, are designed to protect various surfaces during manufacturing, assembly, shipping, and delivery. While these tapes typically only rest temporarily on a substrate, selecting the correct tape for the application can be a critical and often overlooked processing step.

Description
Protection tape consists of a UV-stabilized PE carrier and a removable adhesive with high initial adhesion. The blue transparent color contributes to a sharp contrast between the surfaces and ensures that the tape is clearly visible. The excellent outdoor resistance of up to 6 months enables clean removal in many different surface protection-related applications where strong protection against mechanical damage is required. It is therefore particularly suitable for surface protection in transport sectors such as railways, the marine industry, the manufacture of special vehicles, storage and transport.
Application Field
- For temporary masking and protection of coated surfaces such as aluminium, metal, glass and other substrates during assembly, storage and transport where the tape must be able to be removed without leaving adhesive residues behind.
- The temperature resistance also makes it suitable for masking applications when spray painting with subsequent oven drying up to 70 °C. The PE carrier provides good resistance to paint wetting.
